Student Ministry


At Christ Community Church, junior high and senior high students are integrated fully into the life of the church. This means that instead of keeping them segregated into their own "church within a church," they attend the main worship service in the sanctuary, they attend all-church events, and they serve in various church ministries.

Although students may attend any general small group offered, we do offer special small groups for students. We also offer special worship, service, and fun events especially for our students.

Our goal is that our students will develop Christ-centered lives. This semester, we will look at several important subjects:

  • MLife: Living A Life Outside Yourself
    • What Is an MLife? (Romans 3:9-28)
    • Develop Compassion for the "Least of These" (Matthew 9:35-36)
    • Make Your Everyday Life an MLife (Matthew 5:13-16)

    • Multiple Me's (2 Timothy 4:5-8)
  • Time Out! Pausing Our Lives To Grow With Jesus
    • The Value of Solitude (Mark 1:35-39)
    • The Benefits of Scripture Memorization (Matthew 4:1-11)
  • Conflict, Choices, and Consequences
    • Sensible Decisions at School (Romans 7:21-25)
    • Sensible Decisions of Friends (Proverbs 13:20)
    • Handling Conflict With Parents (Colossians 3:18-21)
    • Handling Conflict With Friends (John 15:12-14)

“See, Believe, Live: An Inductive Study of the Gospel of John” by Barry Shafer

This semester, our students will spend the entire time in a single book of the Bible: the Gospel of John. Using some of the simplest language, John covers some of the deepest topics of the Christian faith. John, the “disciple whom Jesus loved,” will give us some unique insights into the life, ministry, and meaning of Jesus Christ.
