Welcome to FORGED Youth, the student ministry of Christ Community Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

FORGED exists to help middle school and high school students build a faith that lasts, develop authentic friendships, and discover God's purpose for their lives.

In a culture full of pressure, distractions, and uncertainty, students need more than entertainment—they need a strong foundation. Through biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, service, and community, FORGED helps students develop a faith that is tested, strengthened, and ready for real life.

Walk Your Why in '26

Jesus IRL

What does it really look like to follow Jesus in everyday life?

In this phase of our Walk Your Why in '26 journey, students are diving into the four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to discover who Jesus is, what He taught, and how His life changes ours today.

Students are exploring:

• The life and ministry of Jesus

• The unique perspective of each Gospel writer

• The teachings and parables of Christ

• The miracles that reveal His power

• What it means to follow Jesus in today's world

• How faith impacts everyday decisions

Jesus isn't just a historical figure—He's real, relevant, and still transforming lives today.

MEET YOUR YOUTH PASTOR

Pastor James has been a devoted part of the Christ Community Church family since 2009 and currently serves as the Youth Pastor of FORGED Youth. He is passionate about helping students discover who they are in Christ, build authentic faith, and develop a relationship with Jesus that lasts beyond their teenage years.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Studies at Grand Canyon University, James combines biblical training with real-world ministry experience to help students navigate life's challenges through a Christ-centered perspective.

James is married to his wonderful wife, Crystal, and together they are proud parents of Bryce and Dakota. Their family continues to grow with the addition of two beloved grandchildren, Alyida and Kayce.

James and Crystal share a deep love for Jesus and a heart for the next generation. They believe every student has a God-given purpose and are committed to creating an environment where students can belong, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover God's plan for their lives.

For James, FORGED Youth is more than a weekly gathering—it's a place where students are being equipped to live boldly for Christ, build a faith that lasts, and impact their schools, families, and communities for God's Kingdom.
